About Real View
After years of working in the world of design and development, we realized that there was a huge disconnect in the traditional design and development process. Time and time again, project after project, budgets and timelines are created yet almost never is a construction project completed on time or on budget. Somewhere between the time of the initial project proposal and estimate to project completion, all cost and time projections are thrown out the window. We thought: “Why is this acceptable?”
That’s when we decided to start Real View Design and Development. Armed with more than 40 years combined experience in design, development, and real estate in the Chicago area, Prashanth Mahakali, and Fernando Lopez launched the firm to offer an alternative to traditional design and development.

Prashanth Mahakali has worked as an architect since 2002, after receiving his masters in architecture from the University of Illinois at Chicago. A student of Chicago’s unique building styles and architecture, these classic Chicagoland styles inspire and inform many of Prashanth’s contemporary designs. Prashanth is wholly committed to providing his clients with the highest level of satisfaction. He carefully listens to each client, taking into consideration their needs and vision, while providing knowledgeable guidance, which he then translates into functional, aesthetically pleasing designs for even the most discerning clients.
He is a registered architect with the National Council of Architectural Registration Board and a proud member of the American Institute of Architects.

Fernando Lopez is an expert in project management and has over 15 years of experience in Chicago’s construction industry. He has also worked for 11 years as a developer and real estate broker, starting as a real estate agent in 2004. Fernando started and manages a successful development company. He’s been involved in over 80 renovations and new constructions, and managed over 70 rental properties.
As part of Real View Design and Development, Fernando is the master of helping to make his clients’ dream homes into a reality. Fernando is the main point of contact for clients, contractors, and other professionals involved in projects. He works directly with owners to choose all of the finishing touches of a home, such as color schemes, tiles, cabinets, finishes, and appliances. He also works diligently to negotiate competitive bids to ensure each project is completed at or below the projected cost. Fernando is very proud of his large number of repeat clients. In fact, the majority of his clients have completed more than one project with him.
